Diese Freiheit in der Malerei ist für ihn sehr wichtig. Sie ist Teil seiner Persönlichkeit, verschafft ihm mehr Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten und bewahrt ihn vor Routine und Selbstkopie.
Seine spezifische Arbeitsweise erklärt dieses Bedürfnis, die Form der Visualisierung seiner eigenen Gedanken frei zu wählen. Jedes seiner Bilder hat einen Titel! Pilatowicz hat eine eigene Bibliothek von Titeln, die ständig wächst. Sein Interesse an der Welt und insbesondere an der europäischen Kultur konfrontiert ihn praktisch täglich mit kleinen und großen Themen, die ihn bewegen und die er in seiner Malerei thematisieren möchte.
Der kreative Prozess ist für ihn sehr analytisch. Er wählt einen Titel aus seiner Bibliothek aus und "trägt" ihn eine Weile mit sich herum, um die Möglichkeiten der Bildaussage zu prüfen. Die nächste Phase sind Skizzen oder Zeichnungen. Wenn er eine geeignete Variante der Bildidee ausgewählt hat, beginnt er zu malen. Natürlich fügt er während des Malprozesses bestimmte Elemente hinzu oder reduziert sie, um einen optimalen Ausdruck seines Werkes zu erreichen.
Ästhetik in der Kunst ist für ihn wichtig. Vulgarität und Sensationslust sind in seinen Werken nicht zu finden. 

Bogdan Pilatowicz is a painter who has developed his own visual language in a long, consistent creative process. This language has its origins in the surrealist movement, but not only. In his search for the optimal form to convey his reflections on the world, he adds abstract elements to surrealism and often remains in abstraction while maintaining his own style.
This freedom in painting is very important to him. It is part of his personality, gives him more opportunities for expression and protects him from routine and self-copying.
His specific way of working explains this need to freely choose the form of visualising his own thoughts. Each of his pictures has a title! Pilatowicz has his own library of titles, which is constantly growing. His interest in the world and especially in European culture confronts him practically every day with small and large themes that move him and that he wants to thematise in his painting.
The creative process is very analytical for him. He selects a title from his library and "carries" it around with him for a while in order to examine the possibilities of the picture's message. The next phase involves sketches or drawings. Once he has selected a suitable variant of the picture idea, he begins to paint. Naturally, he adds or reduces certain elements during the painting process in order to achieve the best possible expression of his work.
Aesthetics in art are important to him. Vulgarity and sensationalism are not to be found in his works.
