ABSTRAKT

SURREALISMUS ist keine künstlerische Stilrichtung!
SURREALISMUS ist die einzige Revolution des 20. Jahrhunderts, die auch im 21. Jahrhundert weiterlebt.

SURREALISM is not an artistic style!
SURREALISM is the only revolution of the 20th century that lives on in the 21st century. Above all because it takes place in people's minds.
It is a way of thinking. A method of understanding and interpreting the world.
It is precisely this way of thinking that characterizes the visual artist BOGDAN PILATOWICZ.
His works are very analytical. The starting point of all his works is the title.
He is constantly looking for new themes that interest him and archives them in his "title library"
After choosing the right title for a new work, he makes one or more pencil sketches. Only then does he start on the picture. It is extremely important to him to choose the perfect form of execution in order to make the subject of the work look its best. Sometimes this is a very precise, naturalistic depiction and at other times an abstract or even minimalist form.
For him, painting is a language through which he can communicate with the world.
He is interested in big themes such as loneliness, justice, truth, freedom, friendship or manipulation as well as small human weaknesses, such as in the painting "Electric Pig Dog".

Again and again, he finds great pleasure in musical themes, as in the paintings "Bolero" or "Voi che Sapete". Mythological stories also regularly accompany his work.
It is important to him to convey his own aesthetics of visual language, which represents a great challenge in our present day.
